Hey folks,
We're going to slightly modify how this will work in order to make it easier for most. First, we're going to try to purchase the product under the school's food service account with a separate invoice. Second, we'll be setting up a system in which to take monetary donations either through check to an account under the school or program name or via PayPal to my eBay account. Since I have known most of you many years, you also know I'm not in this to scam. As I said, I'll be footing the postage bill overseas as my part of the operation.
And speaking of operation, Lori and I were tossing around names last night and came up with Operation: Flavor. It is what it says it is: flavor.
For those in the food field who've never experienced "the thrill" of eating MRE's I can assure you they've come a long way since K-rats and C-rats. However, that isn't to say they're the tastiest things on the planet. This is why we've chosen to pick these products and send them to the troops.
There are a lot of service men and women overseas on our behalf. This is an easy/simple way of us thanking them.
As I mentioned before, I'll ensure that the troops know who "sponsored" what. In the event you have a branded PC product and would like to donate that, please do! I'm going to be hitting some of the local QSRs for branded PC packages that I know will be well received. Trust me when I say, I know they'll be well received. Having spent a year or two (20, that is) in the military, most of it deployed or overseas, I know how a little thing like a package of hot sauce means.
Again friends, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Steve, Lori, her class and our military.
Give 'em what they want. Just make it better than they expected.
I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.
